Two of my daughters (4 and 6) and I (42) were sledding at the local park yesterday afternoon. There were maybe six other kids there and...2 teenagers (16-17 maybe). I smelled one of the teens smoking and politely asked (told) him to "put out the cigarette while little kids were around." He replied "what?" with a pretty incredulous look on his face. I repeated myself and (suprisingly) he said "OK". I said "thank you" and that was it. Honestly, I half expected an altercation and was prepared to play along to make my point.
To be fair, the kid was maybe 5'9" and 160#...I'm maybe 6'1" in my snow boots and #250 butt nekid.
I realize cig's are not crack cocaine...but it still rubs me the wrong way when people start smoking around me and fully pisses me off when they do it around little kids...especially mine
