What a small world! I just spoke to Stacy today at around 5PM with a Honda/Acura question. He is the one and only independent shop that I recommend to anyone with a Honda. Your story does not surprise me in the least since I know him, he is just the best of the best. Generous, honest to a fault, 100% competent and knowledgeable about the cars they service and very nice to customers. I wish that I knew other independents of his caliber to send my friends to with other makes. The only other shop I recommend is TRE for Porsches. Most of the best in that business specialize in one make. I almost forgot, Beverly Laurel in West Hollywood for Mercedes. The owner, Shant, was with Hollywood MB for years which was the factory store. They are phenomenal.
Since I do most of my own work, I do not patronize these businesses directly, but I send them biz every chance I get. AC is one more good reason to buy a Honda in LA. I have seen excellent reviews of the place online.
