Spence,
remove the side window and you should see it is held in place with philips head screws.
There should also be one inside the door lamb.
When you get the screws out pry the trim piece up with a wide putty knife from inside the car.
There will also be some putty type sealant holding the piece down.
This is how it was on my 72 and 74. I have pics if you need any.
It should be the same on your car.
