Last February, I had my 911 shipped from a seller in California to Worcester, MA. It cost about $800 for an open air trailer. I used a local CA company which claimed to deliver "door-to-door". But it turned out they were just brokers and I waited two weeks for my car to show up. When it did, it didn't get delivered to my door. Instead, I got a call from a guy named "Steve" who said he had it in a parking lot behind a warehouse in downtown Worcester. So I arrived after working late (i.e. 10pm) to pick it up and I found "Steve" sitting in the cab of a big rig with a very dirty 911 stting next to him. When I got out of my car he said,"You here for the 911?" I said "Yes" and he handed me the keys. He didn't check my ID or ask me to verify anything. I was just a long haired guy in a black leather jacket driving up to the back of a warehouse late at night looking for a 911. I'm thinking of going back some day and saying I'm there to pick up a Jag or a Ferrari or whatever else is available. So take the advice of these guys - don't use a broker. Only use a company that is recommended frmo personal experience. I was lucky this time. But I wouldn't tempt fate twice.
