Door lock change
Worked on my drivers side door lock today. The key cylinder and interior knob were non-functional. Removed the door panel and sprayed some WD40... bingo... functioning interior lock but no dice on the key cylinder. I was beginning to suspect that the cylinder had been changed and when I tried the only spare key that came with the car... indeed it had. The ignition key fits the passenger door and the rear hatch. The small spare key fits the drivers door. So from what I've seen in the parts list it is possible to order spare keys and new key cylinders. But to get a cylinder to match an existing key it's asking for a number (and more money). Where is the key number documented? Also, how difficult is it to replace the key cylinder?
