Hello, I am looking for advice on the most effective way to remove headstuds from the case on a 3.0l SC motor.

Car has 3 broken HSs and I would like very much to only rebuild the top end and not do the lower as the car only has 79K on it. there is plenty of "meat" on the studs ie not broken at the base close to the case.

Are there any tried and true methods? Heat the piss out of them? will I risk internal damage if I heat the case?
