sealing the inside of an oil tank
I have an oil tank that I would like to use, but I'm afraid there could be some contamination in it. I've had it cleaned thoroughly (ultra-sound) but I'm still concerned by the idea of pumping oil straight from the tank to a new engine. For various reasons, I would prefer to use this tank, as opposed to getting a new one.
I've investigated putting a filter between the tank and the engine, but I don't think that can be very parctical.
I've talked to a shop that seals gas tanks, but they can't confirm that their coating would not be deteriorated by the heat of the oil.
So, does anybody know what I can use to seal the inside of a tank that will see hot oil ?
Kindest regards
Michel Richard
