Howdy, I was ready to reinstalled my gas struts on the engine deck lid and see that there are two holes on the package tray (forward) end of the mounting bracket, which hole do you use? 1. Upper or lower or does it make any difference.

2. I also noted in the PET manual that the cylinder and not the rod face to the rear, does this make any difference? It nearly seems like the cylinder end would be happier forward with the rod facing aft.

3. I don't see in the PET any parts for the right side deck lid attachment. The bracket is a single bracket with a captive 6 MM nut. You can't tighten the 6 MM bolt to tight or the rod end won't rotate, what keeps the bolt from backing out?
