I am installing a '73 2.4L engine with 915 transmission in my '71 911. I have the starter from the '71 which was mounted on the 901 transmission. I would like to use the '71 starter, but the Porsche parts catalogue shows two different starters.

Does anyone know the difference? And, would the '71 starter work with the '73 set up?
