Thanks for all the encouraging words guys, Im excited to see it finished as well. To answer some of your questions:

- Tools and paint were cheap but only because I did it on the cheap. Harbor Freight spray gun ($35) and tough industrial grade paint ($250) with a big Craftsman compressor (borrowed) and some other various supplies ($100) is about all I used. For the sake of my freedom in the state of CA I'll say that I painted it in my garage. Learning the gun took some time and there were parts of the car that needed re-spraying so don't think you're going to get professional grade work on your first go. I'll be wet sanding out some of the defects and buffing (buff machine is like $250), but the rest I'll leave as "character enhancements". I could have had Maaco do the spraying for a few hundred bucks but I really wanted to do this on my own.

- Yes, the fenders are riveted and it looks badass. I had them attached that way on my Targa too and the look is something else. A lot of the ToyoCup PRC cars do the same thing and I think it adds a touch of bad-guy to the project along with the battleship gray paint.

Im in the process of moving to a new house so I haven't done much work on it lately, but I've got the engine compartment painted in fresh gray POR-15, the front splitter and brackets are attached, and the lights are in. It looks sick! I'll put up some pics soon.

Thanks again for the support guys!
