Can't you just re-dye these?
I am into RC cars/trucks. We (RC car people) re-dye the plastic (Nylon) rims all the time. We use RIT dye, mybe it's WRIT. Anyway, it should work. The hard part will be finding a bright red color. Black is easy... so is maroon, flourescent yellow & green
Then again, not sure how much the replacement parts cost. Either way you will taking the piece off.
