Kevin,
No, not ready to put a turbo on it. I guess you could say that I'm not quite up as far you on the learning curve.
You're right about sensors. The 924T, that I originally bought the TEC II for, had a throttle switch instead of a position sensor. From Motronic, I ordered a Bosch sensor that would fit the D shaft. When I got ready to put it on I ohmed it & discovered that I wouldn't be able to get the 5V that the TEC looks for at full throttle. Ended up with a Motrocraft from Motronic, and then wired it wrong.
What kind of TPS are you using for your PF4? I think I read on your link that it uses this as an input.
One good thing about the TEC II is that it has an "engine monitor screen" that you can use to see what sensors are reading. On my laptop, I can get that, but get a commo error when trying to program. My big computer will program it. I need to get this problem fixed, because I want to use data logging while riding to tune it.
It's raining this morning so maybe I can work on a buffer for the laptop.
edit: I mean MoTec instead of Motronic for TPS
Preydog,
The TEC II comes with sample programs for a 4, 6, & 8 cylinder. It has a Wizard that helps you set it up. While you're running,
if you have the O2 & knock sensors on, they will do some adjusts for you. You set how much adjustment you want. It has a calibration screen for each sensor that you can set some parameters & default (limp home, I recond) in.
It has a blink code for the check engine light to help you troubleshoot.
The first time I cranked it, I had the fuel pump relay out so I wouldn't have possible injection leaks spraying gas. Using ether, I had to adjust the timing to get it to crank.
One thing I'm going to do today is hunt up some info I have on various Bosch injectors & see if I can get a correct flow rate for the 944 injectors. I think I'm running off the initial crank enrichment now. I have the O2 turned off & trying to get an idle that way.
The TEC II isn't "Plug & Play", but it's versitility will allow big cams, different injectors, throttle bodies, etc.
