The main advantage of the dished wheel is that it stands a lot closer to the driver, which is good in a 911. Another less obvious advantage is that there is nothing in the plane of the rim, minimizing the risk of hitting the hub while changing the position of your hands, like in hairpin turns.
BTW the yellow Momo logo goes away with paint striper, not attacking the black anodising, making the wheel more discrete, and IMO closer to the prototipo.
