Nice car, enjoy it on those deserted Nebraska roads. Just look out for the tractors, harvesters and 75 million head of cattle.
You can use whatever octane the manual specifies; assuming it's not a high-compression engine, 87 octane should be just fine.
Some say ethanol is OK, others say it is no good - you will get better mileage with straight gas, however. If you can find a Chevron station, you get the Techron for free. They are scarce here in Eastern Iowa.
Have fun and remember:
-Brake in a straight line
-Don't lift off the throttle in a turn
-Please DO wind it up to 5k in 2nd though 4th gears
-You're not going to get that silly grin off your face for a long time.
