If you haven't already done so, you might check out the 914-6 conversion guide here on the 914 tech forum. It provides a good idea of what needs to be done mechanically. The quality of the conversions can vary dramatically from car to car, not to mention all the other stuff (interior, exterior, etc.) you already know about. For a good look at a very high quality conversion(and a good idea of what costs COULD be involved), check out Karl Johnson's car in the Owner's Gallery. The more cars you can look at (and drive), the more focused you will become in terms of knowing what you want from the car. I think, in the end, any given car is worth what someone (you, maybe) is willing to pay for it. The more you look, the more likely you are to find what you want. Or, maybe like a lot of folks, you will decide to "roll your own," whatever it costs. Either way, good luck and keep us informed.
