I'll check the tensioner.... that's not a bad idea... the crazy thing is, I swear, it hasn't made the noise once since I posted this, and that's why it's so damn hard to diagnose... It'll do it for 20 seconds at 2am on an ice cream run... when I'm in shorts and sandals without a tool around...

I did check the alternator though, A yes, the alternator is brand new, all new bearings, everything... and B it's recharging like a champ, so I'd like to believe it isn't that, but.... i'm sure it's possible. I don't know... I'm not going to freak out yet.

BTW, wayne, I know you can't hear a vacuum leak on a 911 usually, that's just the best way I can describe it... it sounds exactly like a loud vacuum leak
