Supra & most import drag racers commonly run 1/4 only. The lights on the board at about 1/8th mile show the reaction time, then correct to the 1/4 time after the car passes throught he 1/4 traps.
Supra engines are stout: good for about 900rwhp before you need to build them up with stouter rods. Pistons are forged & ceramic coated from the factory. But, to get to 900rwhp, you're gonna spend 20k in engine mods: engine management system, fuel system (pumps, rails lines, injectors, regulator, return), turbo system & manifold (3-4k), exhaust & downpipe (1-2k), Intercooler & pipes (2k), 1k i gauges & meters, 2-3k in clutch upgrades, etc. Not a cheap route for sure.
