I have a bad 964 oil pump. The housing is cracked.

I also have a box of 930 oil pump parts. (a race motor came apart and the rod went though the top of the pressure housing)

Are the parts interchangeable. Can I use the scavenge housing from a 930 on a 964 pump.

Or, are these things precision made so I need to keep an oil pump together as a set, so I can not even interchange parts from two 930 pumps.
