If you have ong arms you can pop on of the left most gauges out from the front trunk and then putting your fingers through the hole push the speedo out from inside the car. This is a good method since there is no possibility of scratching anything, but I have used a butter knife to pry the gauges out before without any problems as well.
One note, the speedo is a very tight fit due to the steering wheel, but you can get it out without removing the steering wheel. It just takes a little wiggling and taking the speedo out at an angle once you get it started and the steering wheel starts to interfere.
