Got it Running ...
Since this a forum for learning and sharing ... I'll have to be honest.
I assumed that the instructions in the Pertronix (California, USA) manual to set the air gap at .030 referred to INCHES ... Heck, I didn't know!
I reset the gap to .030 MM and the engine fired right up and runs strong.
No issues with the height of the rotor.
Funny that in all my correspondence with Pertronix it, that little detail was never mentioned.
(Of course, Yours Truly didn't ask either .... Duh!)
