If they are Bilsteins they should have a roll pin on the bottom of the strut that needs to be knocked out when you replace the insert Koni and Boge housings don't have that roll pin. If memory serves, it's covered in Wayne's 101 projects book, if you happen to own that. If there's no roll pin, those aren' Bilsteins. However, I suspect that they are. They are a very common upgrade and when they were cheap and easy to get lots of people put them on their cars...
