Welcome to the club. I am in SD as well and will be more than happy to share my limited knowledge of who to take it to and where to find used parts. My last p-car was an 83sc as well. Currently in an 85 Carerra.

Before you spend the $$ on getting a stock wheel, check out the 930 wheel at AJ USA (on Mira Mesa blvd). They have one on the board and will let you take it out to your car to see how it would look. I was hesitant to take out my worn 4 spoke, but decided to take the plunge and it is amazing what a difference it makes. They sell the whole kit (with Porsche logo on the horn) and actually give a sheet of directions that appears to be written by someone with a firm grasp of the English language. So installation was a breeze.

Bottom line: Looks good, feels good.
