lightweight portable coffeemaker?
There are times when I go out to the ranch or am otherwise stuck out in the middle of nowhere and would like a cup of coffee. So far I just dunk a brass cone filter into the metal cup. The unit I use is the NATO water bottle with the crusader cup and stove. I use fuel tablets to heat up the water. The whole thing weighs almost nothing, so I love it. It's really great on long road trips when travelling through the middle of nowhere, which pretty much describes the entire region of central california.
I think the capacity of the cup is about a half liter, which is almost 4 cups of coffee. Does anyone else use a camping or hiking coffee maker?
So far, from what I have seen, other available camping and hiking coffee filter options are very limited. They either use a small percolator, a one cup operation, or a small coffee press.
