Leland, first off, thanks for the job you are doing, and glad to hear you're coming back soon.
Second, where do you live/stationed normally? This would make a difference to me. If you are in a hot climate and do any DE work then use the pass side for getting air to the cooler. (I'm in HOusTon so that's what I've done), but if the weather is not that bad where you normally lay your hat then get the lights, they look nice. Personally for me they don't really do much I would have preferred driving lights, but they look good.
