I don't think it's the Auto Trader. More likely a bot.
This (sorta) happened to me when I put a rental in the local paper. I was inundated for MONTHS after it was rented with calls from folks who purchased "homes for rent" listings from websites. I told the callers how they were scammed and most were pizzed.
