Its too early, my mind is not in the gutter...yet...
I can get the support piece to move within that rubber bushing...its tight but it moves. I can also see that it would need to be remove from the trunk. However, the back part of the turn signal switch housing does not want to come off. It will slide about 1/2 way off but won't go the rest of the way.
Damn thing. If I weren't restoring it to keep, it would have met the sawzall by now!
