Last week I grenaded the engine in (my wifes) 944 while doing a track session. I have discovered, obviously a little late, that this is a common problem with 944's running track tires so I am looking for some suggestions to improve things. I don't need to worry about my wifes car as I doubt I will be allowed to drive it again once I fix the motor, but I am thinking of picking up a cheap 944 to use until I can finish my car off.

Any relatively cheao improvments that can be made? Better baffled oil pan, more oil capacity etc?
