The engine is in the car but no accessories bolted back on as he had the head reconditioned. We were going to replace the chain guides but couldn't get the bottom crank pulley off to get to all of the bolts on the cover.

(Yeah, don't ask how we broke the nubbin.)

I readlily admit to knot knowing a thing about Mercedes engines but after spending a little time on his, it pretty much seems like any other. it even has Bosch CIS, just like my SC.

So , in your opinion, the only solution is to get another balancer?
