Yoh!!! -

Saw your reply. Copied this from another of my posts. Hope it helps on your carb dilemma...

I am running 44s on my 2.0 engine, stock rebuild but 8.0:1 P/C, MSD CD ignition and Kerry Hunter exhaust. This is for PCR racing. For the street, the 44s are too much carb as I can kill the engine just by flooring below 2500 RPM. I have had 40s as well and they made as much power, except the 44s had a SLIGHT edge at high RPM. But the 40s had DEFINITE better drivability. Plus, with higher intake velocity it will respond better to tuning at idle and part-throttle opening, I think. If mine were a street car, I would stay at 40s. That might change with a non-stock cam and head.

Good luck!
