Yes, having loose or worn out injectors seals causes the idle to go up in rpm. Of course this is the problem with ALL the seals that are related to engine vaccum. Chasing high idle is like chasing your tail. Change/or verifly that ALL the seals are connected correctly, sealing properly and or in good working order.
Check for smooth operation of the AAR valve.
Check the mechanical end too, valves adj'ed,timing right on, etc.
After you do ALL of this it's amazing with alittle adjustment these cars idle fine. BUT until you fix the little things they will drive you nuts!
Most of these cars still have some of the OEM 30 year old parts on them, change out what you can so the FI works right.
