I guess things could be worse than accidentally buying a restorable LWB 912.
Let me know when you start researching hot rod 912's. I'll give you some ideas. Also check out the "4 cam" thread in the 356 tech forum. That will give you some really expensive ideas.
If your daughter is dead set on a SWB racecar come by some time and look at my '66 912. I don't care either way. I'd trade you my '66 for your '68. Mine needs similar work to yours.
And as others have said, we want pictures of paint already.
