When I first learned that the speaker box thing was "permanently" obstructing the back seats from folding up, I was pretty aggravated. This car is close to original in every way, except this...THING. You can be sure it's at the top of my to-do list.
All that said, the stereo is pretty doggone excellent in this car, best car stereo I've ever had. I stuck ten of my all-time favorite CDs in there for the drive and I enjoyed being able to flip them on when I was ready to hear something besides the vroom-vroom from behind (which I do love to hear!). With stuff back there, the speakers are obstructed, though, so this thing's gonna go for sure.
As you can see, with the passenger seat pulled forward a little, I was able to get the full-size cooler back there just fine. And the room in the floorboard held my groceries - and the watermelon
