help -

my doors take on a mind of their own and fly all the way open with the slightst of persuassion and is even worse if parked on a decline. Apart from the door dings, I am concerned about the possible distortion on my doors where the door stays are fastened.

My question: If I replace the door stays, will the birds be grounded or do I need the reinforcement kit also in order to give the doors some interval stopping. There is no real damage to the doors as of yet, so if I can get away with just the door stays, I would like to do just that.
