I looked at the options, and decided, to have a go myself. Built my own hydraulic tubing bender, from plans I bought from a bike builder. It works like a charm and was a lot of fun to build. Hydraulic benders can run thousands of $$. Did some test bends, to calibrate, and then did the main hoop.
Also bought some software from BendTech, not cheap but takes a lot of the trial and error out of the design and fabrication process. This software has saved me a lot of time and mistakes. It prints out the templates for the fish mouths, and calculates where the bends need to start, as well as any rotation. It was especially useful for the bars over the doors.
I have about 25% done so far, still have to do rear suspension points, roof bar, knee breaker, door bars, front suspension points and strut brace, and multiple gussets.
I now have an appreciation for the amount of time and effort which goes into a custom cage.
