Brakes/rotors question
I have (or should I say had) new rotors prior to my first track event this year and subsequently have a pulsing pedal that suggests unevenly worn rotors (or rotors with deposits, anyway). My rotors are zimmerman, my track pads are porterfield R (carbon-kevlar). I am wondering if anyone has used a pad/rotor combination with the stock calipers that has worked really consistently on the track without "warping" the rotors. Alternatively, if anyone has gone to a big brake kit that has worked without fail I would like to know about that too. I don't want to have to buy new rotors after every track event but that is where I am after the last two outings. Does cryo treatment minimize/eliminate this problem?
