lol.
I wasn't going to until next Monday (give it two weeks since it was replaced).
Murphy says that as soon as I call it fixed, It'll stop working.
Bugger Murphy! IT'S FIXED!
It's been starting successfully for over a week now, nine days to be exact. It does appear that replacing the speed sensor has fixed the problem (I actually replace both sensors as a precaution).
It had finally got to the point where I had decided to just keep throwing money at it and replace things until it was fixed - cheapest things first (hence why the Lindsay harness went in).
It also appears that the previous sensor failed after four months service (a new one was fitted in June last year - fault first appeared in October). A **** of a fault, that first appeared as a failure to start very intermittently (once every couple of weeks), over time it became more consistent, to the point where it would be a surprise if it started. I originally dismissed the sensors, as they were relatively new at the time, and the signal coming from them looked correct.
Anyway, for the time being. I'm happy again! The car is running great, although I've now got the rear hatch off to repair the hinges - another story maybe?
So, Comicbook, how lucky do you feel? It sounds like you've reached the same point I have. Replace the sensors - the beamer ones are cheap in comparison.
Cheers
