I would look at a J 27 , might be a good in expensive starter boat.
If I wasn't totally thrilled with my 30' Borensen Dragon
and I had real money I would look for a Swan 50 (or was it a 48'?)
Anyway I am attracted to good lines...
Sail on other people s boats as much as possible first.
