i started a thread on this a while back... everyone agrees it's useless unless you are travelling at a decent speed. most of our overheating woes are occuring during stop and go traffic, etc..., so on the highway and on the track are the places where i'd imagine you'd see some change. for me and my fan-less '85, i decided it was probably a waste of money considering my car would only get really hot with the a/c running in stop and go traffic during the atlanta summers. unfortunately, it's pretty darn expensive to upgrade to an oil cooler with the fan.
