Congratulations on the new purchase, and welcome to Pelican.

I've yet to see a photostat copy of a users manual. Then again I have never looked for one either.

What are you looking to learn about the car? There are a lot of great books out there that will teach you a lot more than the owners manual. Also this website and these forums are a wonderful resource. If you have specific questions just do a search on the website and odds are you'll find your answer.

Even if you don't want to work on your car Wayne Dempseys book, "101 Projects for your Porsche 911" is a wonderful tool. On pelican parts it is part #:BK-131569AP

If you want to work on your car then I would suggest getting the Porsche 911 SC Service Manual published by Bentley. Part Number: PEL-P983

My last Recommendation would be Wayne Dempsey's book "How to rebuild and modify your Porsche 911 engine."

There are a lot of other great books, but those 3 and this website should get you going.

Also a good FREE source of information are the technical articles here:
http://www.pelicanparts.com/911/911tech_articles.htm

Again welcome to the forums, and congratulations on from a fellow 1978 911SC owner.

Also get a picture of the car up, it's a mandatory in your introduction

Rich
