This is the Aircraft Stipper I use to help loosen up old paint and undercoating. The longer it stays on, the more it takes off. This is the tool box cover from the trunk being treated.

Dynamat Extreme in the doors. I probably went a bit overboard here, but it's easy to work with and doesn't take long to install.

The interior without the seats. New pans in the rear, front pans scrubbed to bare metal. POR-15 covers it all. I put Dynamat Extreme all over the floor. $10 worth of insulation from local trim shop covers it all. I have refurbed Recaro's from Aardvarc Racing (a BMW 2002 shop) to install along with new carpet.

This is where I've been spending the past three days - under the car. It's not easy work, but the results are good - clean metal. After spraying on Aircraft Stripper, I let it soak over night, then chip off the old undercoating with a 1" metal scraper and a 3" metal scraper.

Here's the front pan replacement. The gas tank is out. All the new metal has been coated with POR-15. While I had the clip out, I went ahead and did the suspension; new KYB struts up and front and shocks in back, new turbo tie rod ends, and new ball joints.

Lower valance off; you can clearly see the new metal - it's all black with POR-15. Once the valance is on, you won't see the black.

The rear of my '67 912 Targa. There's a Maestro Engine under the lid. No, the paint is not original - it's supposed to be Crystal Blua, but it's a Mercedes gold now. Someday I'll respray her - probably an original grey or possibly an Audi color I just saw, Aviator Pearl Grey. It's really "retro" looking.
