I lived there for ten years and loved it. I'd go run on the beach (Dockweiler) weekday mornings. Usually had the whole beach to myself.
I originally discovered Pelican when I was at Crown Books El Segundo (gone) and I guess Wayne or Tom was there in a car that had Pelican Parts written on the side along with the web address, phone number and mentioned Porsche parts and the BBS. That was in late 1999 or early 2000. About 9 years later and I'm still here.
I remember going over to Pelican's first location and meeting Wayne. He was enthusiastic when I mentioned I had a 72' Coupe. I thought he was maybe the owners son
or just worked there.
