Is it time to upgrade my brake pads?

I've been running my 95 M3 on the track (3 events so far) and during the last track day noticed my brakes were vibrating. The cause was transfer to the rotor from the pad. I was using Hawk HP Plus pads, that I thought would allow me limited street driving (this is not my daily driver) and good track performance.

I contacted Hawk and they suggested that the HP Plus pads had become too hot and melted. They suggested that I go to HT10 on the rear and DC60 on the front. I have the standard cooling ducts on the M3, but haven't run the hoses and shrouded the rotors for added cooling. As I do want to run the car on the street a little bit, the hoses and shrouds are a pain.

Any experience with the HT-10 and DC60 pads on the street or track?
