I frequently find myself uncertain what to call a poster I am responding to. A lot of you have no apparent first names in your avatar or posts. A wide variety of fantastic avatar names and sometimes something that resembles a last name.

I think it would be very nice within in the Pelican family to be able to address our long distance friends on a first name basis. Many of our threads are very sensitive, emotional and heart aching. Addressing the poster with his/her first name gives the communication a more personal and sincere touch.
