There's not too much you can do to tweak a 912E if you keep the FI setup. Getting rid of the thermal reactors and dumping the air pump helps, but the basic bottleneck is the FI system which is pretty tamper-proof. Best bet would be to stick some Webers on it (if allowed in your state); a more aggressive advance curve and maybe an upgraded exhaust system. The best advice if you live in a smog-state is to make sure your motor is tight and up to specs so you're getting all the power you can from a stock motor. Also, I've tried all of the top end stuff (K&N filter/milti-electrode plugs/trick ignition wires/ hot coil/MSD, etc. and didn't notice any difference.
