My problem with the 6 conversion is that it's incredibly expensive. I realize that it's not a walk in the park, and I also realize that the turbo project will be incredibly difficult at best. I just cannot justify spending several thousands of dollars (nor do I have that kind of money) into a car that I paid $1000 for.
What concerns me about 'souping up' a current 2.0L is the possibility of premature death. It strikes me that putting webers, a webcam, and larger P&C's increases heat quite a bit. It puts a fuse on the engine, sure it'll be good for some number of miles before it drops a seat or whatever. Perhaps I'm mistaken, but I believe a well thought-out and researched turbo or a completely different engine might be a better solution in the reliability department.
Beautiful car by the way Larry =o)
