Are you asking if replacing the stock fender cooler with a finned tube cooler vs a Carrera and front oil cooler would be enough? There's not much air flow at speed and certainly at a stand still that I would feel good about either type fender oil cooler only for the track.
No experience or knowledge on how effective a finned tube cooler is.

in the ongoing quest for lower engine/oil temps, are those fin type coolers that replace the "S" shaped oil line any good in addition to say the stock and a front mounted oil cooler? My buddy runs one on his vintage 911 race car and swears by it???
