1-You can carry a small 12 volt battery jumper inside your car behind passenger seat, with a 2 foot long jumper wire. Small speaker wire..
You can open your front hood/trunk while putting 12 volts of power on the C3 fuse located in your fuse box 3rd row down 3rd fuse.
2-I also carry my Porsche tool bag inside the car behind my passenger seat. It is normally behind your spare tire in the front trunk. But if you can not get your trunk open a tow truck driver can not pull your Boxster up on a flatbed truck because he needs your tow hooks that are inside your tool bag...
Liability issues..Some Towing companies are affrade of Porsches.
You could actually get into a problem where you can not start your car, or even tow your car. It can make things more easy if you keep your tow hooks out of your trunk, and a battery jumper, and small fuse jumper wire inside your car.
There is also an emergency trunk release outside the car under the left fender well. It is rumored that some early boxsers 97,98,99 do not have it.,,some..
You could also pull (very hard) on the actual trunk release cable from inside the car behind the fuse box, but I would not recommend that one. You could break something.
Putting power to the C3 fuse is best, very easy, takes 1 minute!.
My car was locked, alarm set, battery disconnected, outside door key chuck broken (like that for years I never use it), I only used remote, While I was working on car. I left front trunk loose, but then someone decided to do me a favor and shut it all the way.LOL So I slim jim, get in, jump C3, no problem.
Hope this helps people.

I always use a very small screwdriver to slip the lock over and which allows the front truck latch to be pulled normally. I found this trick on an internet search and it even had phots to show how to do it.
