Hey WydRyd, you are a horsepower junkie!
That motor is a bit flash for my taste. I am not really interested in how a motor looks, as long as it is resonably clean - just how it drives! That includes smoothness/tractability as well as performance. It's how the motor looks INSIDE that is important!
My goal is balanced, smooth performance from chassis and engine. My dream engine would be normally aspirated, not a fan of turbos. Perhaps my euro 3.2, rebuilt with 100mm Mahle P+C (3.5), micrometer blueprint, twin plugged, Stainless free-flow exhaust... nothing extreme, lots of tractable torque.
yeah that would do me. Should be good for 280bhp. Quite enough for the narrow body style, and no turbo-lag.
Or maybe a large capacity twin-plug MFI....
