On a 3.0 I would say that it could be the RMS and not the oil cooler. I am not familiar with the 2.7s but if the oil cooler is mounted in the same location as the 3.0 ...
I could have sworn that my cooler was leaking after I finished my rebuild - oil appeared to be dripping down the side of the case around where the cooler meets the case. Turned out to be the RMS - all is dry now.
