I bought Chris Streit's 9inchers sans tires and needing refinishing for 1K for those keeping track of dollar value. I believe I could have found a better deal but had the cash and jumped on the opportunity. My feeling was that sleeping boys catch no fish. I have seen the 7/9 combos, finished, with tires, going for "as little" as $1,200.00.

I did this just to get 7/9 combination of genuine Fuchs. I will sell my Targa, the coupe after it, and my wife's Cab. when those days come and go, but I doubt I will ever part with my polished 7 and 9s unless I leave the Porsche fraternity as a whole. So I guess I overpaid to get into the club but am happy to have gotten there, and would probably regret ever selling the 9'ers anyway. They are quite the set of wheels!
